Thinking about joining First Baptist?   We would love to have you join our exciting fellowship of believers.  You may want to visit with someone about the process.   You may e-mail our pastor to ask him specific questions at jtims@fbcchickasha.org,  or you may call our church office at 224-5196 and make an appointment with Bro. Johnny or one of our other staff members.  

     If you feel that God is leading you to join our church family, you can come to one of our worship services and at the invitation time meet our pastor and share with him your desire to join.   The following are examples of the ways that we receive new members:

By "Profession of Faith/Baptism":
You may join by professing faith in Jesus Christ and following Him in believer's baptism.

By "Letter":
You may join by transferring your membership from another Southern Baptist church.

By "Statement":
You may join by statement of your faith in Jesus Christ if after your profession of faith you have been baptized by immersion in a church of like faith and order.

By "Watchcare":
You my join by watchcare if you are a member of a Southern Baptist Church and will be in the area for a short time (e.g., college student).  You are treated as a member but may not vote in church conferences or hold elected ministry positions

Our “Sunday School”:

Anyone from any background may become a member of one of our Sunday school classes.  When you fill out an information card in the Sunday school class you are attending, just mark the box that says: “Enroll me in Bible study.”
