The Food Pantry

Every Thursday afternoon beginning at 2:00 PM in our Fellowship Hall we minister to many families in our community through our Food Pantry ministry.  Mary Ann Adkison coordinates this minstry.  She is assisted by Bryon Yoder.  Brother Johnny, Jared, Bill, Steve and Royce also minister to these families through friendship, encouragment and prayer.  After this prayer time, the families are given a sack of groceries that Mary Ann and Bryon have put together.  God is working in wonderful ways through this ministry.

The Barnabas Fund

The benevolence ministries of First Baptist Church are not financed through our church budget.  For more than three years we have depended upon free-will offerings to the BARNABAS FUND to help meet the needs of those in financial distress.  Will you pray for us as we continue to pray and seek the leadership of the Holy Spirit?  As funds are available, we have been able to help families pay the last portion of various bills.  There is a 90 day 1/2 payback policy that we employ with every family that we help. Consider how you might want to give to the Barnabas Fund.

Angel Tree

This is a national ministry to the children of a parent who is incarcerated.  First Baptist Church has participated in this ministry.  Consider, as Christmas rolls around this year, taking one of the angel tree assignments and becoming a blessing to a family in need.
